Bandia Tv JaCk FaMiLy

Bandai had been following the videogame industry as both a manufacturer and distributor for years. Bandai had released Pippin, Playdia, and Satellaview (BS-X) in the 1990's, and they distributed Vectrex, Intellivision, and Arcadia. Before all of those consoles, Bandai introduced a successful console line called "TV Jack" in Japan. further on after the release MORE INFO en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RF_Generation

odyssy2

The Odyssey² was released in 1978 to compete with Atari's popular console. The Odyssey² wasn't as powerful as the Atari 2600 (it was slower, had lower resolution, and supported only one sound channel compared to the 2600's two) . However, Odyssey² graphics were sharp, with no trace of the screen flicker which sometimes plagued Atari 2600 games.
Unlike any other system at that time, the Odyssey² also included a full alpha-numeric touchpad keyboard, which was to be used for educational games and for selecting game options or programming. This was a major selling point of the system.

fairchild console

With so many "Pong" clones on the market at this time, The Fairchild Channel F was a breath of fresh air. The Channel F was the first programmable cartridge based video game console to enter the videogame market. Initially, it was called the "Fairchild Video Entertainment System", but was later changed. It was developed by Fairchild Semiconductors and released in August of 1976. Other then the fact that Channel F was the first to use cartridges, it had other unique features that set it apart from the "Pong" flood. Rather then having you near the actual console, the Channel F developed controllers that would let you play up to 8 feet away from the console (innovative for it's time).

amstrad gx400 the first BRITISH console....

. It has been reported that the Amstrad GX400 was the first console to be designed in the United Kingdom. Apparently the UK made contributions to the video game industry far earlier then the Amstrad. The 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System was first created in 1976 by a company called Radofin. Radofin then licensed the technology to other companies throughout the United Kingdom. Acetronic, Prinztronic, Fountain, Grandstand, Audiosonic, Hanimex and Lansay, each made consoles based on Radolfin's design for different parts of the world. Some of these variations were identical to the 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System, but sported different labels based on the maker. Other companies altered the original external design completely.

APF imagination machine

The APF Imagination Machine is by far one of the most unique systems. In the late 1970's, a company by the name of APF Technologies released a simple cartridge based system similar to other consoles on the market. The console called the "APF M1000"was a simple console on its own that marketed at $130 per console which had a game built in called "Rocket petrol"However the M1000 / MP1000 console was merely a portion of the true "Imagination Machine".

consoles soon after "PONG MADNESS"

As the "pong Madness" was spreading around the world it seemed that inventors where only making consoles around the the AY-3-8500 chip, some people had different ideas though, they where trying change the chip to incorparate colour into gaming and making even more games to play. The "telstar colotron" was the first of the colour gaming in 1978 to be folowed by the PC-50X cart family in the early 1980's. Europe did not see the release of intelivision and Atari 2600 till the early 1980's so pong was enabled to have a bit longer on the market. Rather then creating a new machine for each new chip, developers took the most popular gaming chips and put them into different cartridges/game cases These were the PC-50X line of cartridges. First ever home console!!!!

The first ever home console was the "Magnavox Odyssey"; which was named "The farther of home video g@mes"
The creator of this invention was "Ralph baer".
the gaming system played "ball and paddle" which is known as "ping-pong", table tennis, volleyball and others....... On January 27th 1972, the company maganvox began production on this console which was finally released in May. It was advertised to the max, it was everywhere u looked and was reported to have sold over 100,000 of them at $100 each, this was only in 1972 amagine the the future of everbodys need for a console. THE FUTURE G@M!ng WAS ABOUT TO START......................

telstar one of the first consoles

G@m!ng just after pong started off with the the "coleco telstar" which started in 1976 one of the first systems to use the General Instruments AY-3-8500 chip, played only three games (tennis, hockey, handball) with three difficulty levels which at that time probably wouldnt of even been that hard compared to todays difficulty levels. It was a huge success with more than a million sold. People all the time where trying to improve the chip, games this si shown when only 2 years later a new chip was designed and began to start being in the shops, it was called the "Telstar colotron" which played 4 games and surpisingly in colour. Colour being an essential today in a game is all well and good, but most people like sound and at 1978 was appalling in every console the was a little biezo beeper that made a discrete sound that hert your ears.
