

As the "pong Madness" was spreading around the world it seemed that inventors where only making consoles around the the AY-3-8500 chip, some people had different ideas though, they where trying change the chip to incorparate colour into gaming and making even more games to play. The "telstar colotron" was the first of the colour gaming in 1978 to be folowed by the PC-50X cart family in the early 1980's. Europe did not see the release of intelivision and Atari 2600 till the early 1980's so pong was enabled to have a bit longer on the market. Rather then creating a new machine for each new chip, developers took the most popular gaming chips and put them into different cartridges/game cases
